Telenor Offer

Telenor recently announced a free SMS package during the Hajj season. Under the service, pilgrims will have an opportunity to send pre-defined messages to their near and dear ones in Pakistan. The service is applicable on all mobile networks of Pakistan.The service is the first of its kind in Pakistan though in the past Mobilink also offered a Hajj services package where the pilgrims had an opportunity to learn the basics of Hajj, among other things. Warid offered free roaming last year but it, and other telcos, have yet to announce any similar package. Given the popularity and flexibility of SMS, the Hajj package of Telenor is really a good gesture of public service.
