GOOD AND BAD LEADERS

We made leaders by our choice. We know that they are the partial part of the country. They implement the people decisions. A good people may not be able to make a bad leader good but a good leader can contribute to the improvement of his people political culture. Anyone wishing to succeed as leader should be intelligent, energetic, decisive, determined, an effective communicator and ambitious. He will be reckoned a good leader if he is also willing to practice self denial and place the public interest above personal and private interests. One may have some of these characteristics (energy, determination, communication skills) and end up as a bad leader if he is rigid, intemperate, callous, corrupt and incompetent.
I am sorry to say that after independence 1947, Pakistan was unable to found a suitable leader for their selves. Jinnah was the only leader who has the leadership traits, effective communicator, and excellent debater. He is the model for others to follow but we know that none has even approximated his level of attainment. According o Peter Ducker,
“LEADERSHIP IS DOING THE RIGHT THINGS”
And Jinnah has all the aforementioned qualities of a good leader. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was brilliant, a fantastic and a very effective mass leader, but he was lusty of personal power, arrogant, and impulsive. Some of his policy choices, expressing his understanding of the public interest were misconceived and ended up hurting the country.
A good people may not be able to make a bad leader good but I believe a good leader can, by the force of his example, contribute to the improvements of his people’s political culture. Are any of our present leaders capable of making such a contribution?
What you think?
YOURS SUGGESTIONS ARE REALLY IMPORTANT…….

Yar Vicky This is our problem. If someone like Bhutto or B.Bhutto or even say I.Khan speaks well or in case of the B.Family dramatises well, We start worhipping such a person like GOD. The truth is that after Jinnah, there has been no leader capable enough to lead the country.
I think currently there is a situation in which we can improve only if we start acting as leaders ourselves. Waqas if you believe in urself as a leader, Ayesha if u start acting as a leader, if I start working like a leader and if every youth of the nation starts acting like a leader, then can we only achieve progress. What we are currenlty doing is looking for others to save us and in that attempt have been voting to provide a batch of incompetent people the chance of enjoying all the luxuries of life for the last many years, without doing anythiong for the country.

bahahwal u gave an excilleent example for mindset.
yes u r right , firstly we have to change ourselves we would stand initially to do this change. now it is impossible to change our recent leader through proper democracy
.peolple still think thath we are free handed and our problem and difficulties in the society must be fixed by the leaders .. who has rule us

I certainly agree vd u Mr.Bahawal bt evn if v do act as leaders,v still desperately desire smbdy else as a major 1 .Ur approach'l be more practical when we l b reaching a certain stage which is surely nt this era in wch v r livng. Can u actng as ur own leader go to an extremely far away village to solve those ppl'z problems while u r studing ?evn if u do so,it's nt the matter of jst one place so according to me we are in a desperate need of a leader like Imran Khan as well as being our own leaders also.

P.S. And as far as B.family is cncrnd,i guess every sensable person knows them v well and exept for the ppl who r provng to b extremly brutal to our country,no bdy wrships them. I do vote for Imran Khan as he is the only person who has got the guts to say the right thing without caring for his own life,he is certainly a "he man ",i think he shud be gvn a chance,

today i saw a capital talk in which imran khan was also invited. i really admire his policies. he is a straight forward man he did nt think that what is bad for him or his party he do not work for huis own sake. yes, he is the only leader that we deleberately needed.he admires the muntazir zaidi ( iraqi journalist) who threws the shoes on american president. imran said that i and muslims are so sorry that why the shoes not hit to him,
he explain the things openly, as a chairman
he must be given a chance to get invovled inm pakistan politics. if he is a good leader as he represents the pakistan ckt team in 1992 he must represent pakistan as a president./..

well ayesha by being a leader at this stage does not necessarily mean that we should start making fiery speeches through the length and breadth of the country or sweep across the rural areas of Punjab and Sindh at great speed like Lady Diana; what I meant to say was that we should start doing what we can do. i.e we can help others around us, we can write in newsletters against the current policies, we can improve ourselves to set an examples for others. What we are doing is just waiting for a golden spoon to arrive from heaven with a leader sitting at the top of it. Our leader, if there comes one in future is going to be from amongst us, the common people and not another western sponsored or American pampered individual from the ELITE class.
