MOTOR BIKES

when ever i used to see Indian motor bikes i used to wish that why cant we have such bikes in our country. every day we say similar kinds off bikes with different names running on the roads, what is the R&D department doing in bike industry, why cant they come up with some innovative ideas and if not innovative than at least they can see and analyse their competitors like bajaj although they are not in direct competition with them but still they could benchmark them to strengthen their positions.

today a debate in the class suggested that people don't accepted one off the innovative bike (deluxe) so that's why other companies are not taking the initiative. how can they forget that majority people show their resistance towards a new technology or new product and most off the time its because they think that the old model is better one b cuz they have used it but if they will take this resistance period into account than how will they grow as an industry. when people will see the new shaped bikes they would definitely give it a thought. only a good shape is not the key it should be technically fit and worth buying. whatever the company owner thinks but we all know that there are potential segments for such bikes its just that they have to be patient for a while after introducing the new model so that the resistance period passes. such bikes will capture the youth segments and seriously youths are less resistant to new technologies rather they will respond to it positively but remember quality assurance is the first thing they will look for.

I'm sure there are Pakistanis who import Indian bikes. but i don't understand why there are not so many on the roads... maybe because our motor cycle companies are doing v.good or Pakistani motorcyclists are happy with the same design and style.. even the youth does not want sometning better or different? indians have skuties and bikes for girls but i don't see much here..
i think the motor cycle companies should stop fighting over the market share and who gets the bigger slice and focus their attention on improving and bringing some novelty in the market. they can target the females and provide different styles and features for different age groups...it will expand the motorcycle business and will promote good competition..

I definitely agree with maryam on this point that if companies introduce these type of bikes, then they will have to be patient because for people it takes some time to change their taste. Moreover we all, specially the youngsters are attracted towards the designs and features being offered by those bikes. So, in my opinion if the companies here do start making the bikes of different designs as being made in India, then it will be a success.
As long as importing of those bikes is concerned, i am pretty sure that people do import those bikes, but not many. It is due to the reason that after paying the duty on those bikes, their price exceeds that which people here are already paying for normal bikes.
